Anyone had problems getting AF after weaning?

I weaned over 6 weeks ago, and still no AF. I am definitely not pg, it's just missing in action. Anyone else experienced this? I used to be pretty regular, so I am concerned why it's not showing up. At what stage should I go to the doctor ?

    My body wasted no time putting me through the hell that is menstruation. It seemed like the day I got down to just one nursing session per day, my period started again....and boy, had I forgotten how badly it sucks! 

     

    Sorry, this doesn't help you but I'm just getting over my first cycle so I just want to whine, I guess.

    But, I have heard that it really depends on the person. I know one woman who went a few months after stopping nursing w/o getting her period again. It may just be normal, but if you are concerned maybe just call your Dr and see what he/she thinks. Don't make an appt/just call and ask.

    I just asked my Dr. this at a recent appointment. She said that if I don't get AF back by 8 weeks post-weaning to give her a call. HTH!

    I started weaning about 6 weeks ago (already was supp.1 bottles so that was down to 3 xs/day) and fully stopped about 2 weeks ago though by that point it was like once every 2 days.. and still nothing. I am, however, having some mean pelvic pain that I'm hoping in not some new way my body is prepping for AF :P

    CP 3/07
    BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08.       BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09.
    TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
    BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.

    I I love this post!!!  I feel like my body is totally wacky since weaning in September...  i had a period 9/9/08, and then nothing since.  I went to the doctor last week and they put me on Provera 10mg to induce my period, but nothing has happened so far...I was just curious one day (October) because I felt "O" pains, took a OPK, and it was Positive.  So i think I am ovulating, but NO PERIOD....the Provera can take 2 weeks to actually work so i will see if AF shows.  SO weird though, b/c I was soooo regular before DS, and concieved him on cycle #1.
