Mattress placement when setting up crib

Just checking before we finish putting the crib together-

From most of the stuff I'm reading, it looks like you put the mattress at the highest setting at first to make it easier to reach the baby.  The info with our crib suggested putting it at the middle setting at first and then moving to lowest setting as child is bigger and able to move around more.  Our crib is Munire Urban.  What did you do or are you going to do?
