 so common to hate in-laws?  do my in-laws feel the same way about me as i do about them?  and will i hate my future son or daughters husband/wife too?  because mine suck... really really suck.

It doesn't apply to everyone.  I actually think my in-laws are better than my parents most of the time!  My in-laws are, hands down, some of the coolest people ever.

I'm sure your future son or daughters wife/husband will think you rock...

I actually don't hate my in laws. My MIL has her quirky moments and certain things about her that bother me a bit, but she mostly stays out of our business and she's fun and nice to talk to.  I feel bad for anyone who has crappy in-laws. I've heard some serious horror stories!

My outlaws are psycho too, literally, so I feel your pain.  It takes a lot out of me every time I spend time with them.  Thank god I don't have to go through something like trying to plan a wedding with them again- that nearly broke me.  They live far enough away from us now, and I think have gotten the hint so we really don't see them much anymore, thank god.

...but on the bright side, my parents LOVE DH and DH loves my parents.  He always says, you can't pick your family.  I feel so bad for him, having to grow up in that envirnoment- I could go on for DAYS!  But I won't, I'll only succeed in getting myself all riled up.
