Cramps

in 2nd Trimester

Wow are they bad just now.  I thought they had stopped but they came back full force today, I am 13 weeks and they are brutal.  Is this normal?  I have a doctor but she is an hour and a half away and the weather isn't all that great here.  I am unsure if I should stick it out or should I say try as I have an ultrasound on Friday or if I should maybe go to the hospital?

 

Any advice?

    It sucks your Dr is so far away. That crazy. I know my cramps sometimes hurt alot too but I'm sure they are just RLP. Is there any bleeding involved? If there is not I would associate your cramps with the RLP or with constipation. Can you just call your Dr to ask or do you have to go in?

    Where are the cramps... I had bad ones that followed my left hip bone and went to the dr. yesterday.  She said it was round ligament pain and it is completely normal.  If you have any of these go to the hospital:

    Spotting/Bleeding 

    Nausia/Vomiting

    Fever

    Blinding pain that makes you double over and isn't short bursts that go away.

    if you have any of that it could be somethig else and you shoudl get it checked out right away.

    Every OB clinic should have an afterhours number...Or how else would you be able to get in touch with them if you go to labor afterhours?

    I have to go into my doctors.  I am in the middle of moving to a new city and my doctor is back home for now until I get one in the city I am in now, I am on a waiting list so we shall see.

     I am hoping your right, I tend to get all worried because you just never know..

    I dont have an OB yet it is just my family doctor.  Until I get closer to my due date she will switch me over.
