Its tacky isnt it?

To email your registry to people? I mean it would be rude and tacky of me to email it to everyone on my contact list, right? I mean I really want to, but I wont.....probably.

But then WHY do they have the email feature on the freakin registry page?! Its tempting me

Re: Its tacky isnt it?

  • IMO yeah it is. Unless they ask for it
  • Loading the player...
  • Dont do it!!  Email it to yourself so you feel better! :)

Yes, very tacky.  Sorry to burst that bubble!

  • IMO yes... it's very tacky.  THere are only so many stores that you can register at for baby stuff so people know where to look you up if they're going to buy you somehting.  If they ask where you're registered... you can totally email them the registry but not before.
  • We put links to our registries on our baby blog and have just been emailing that to people.  That way they have access to it, but it's not throwing it in their faces.

Are you having a shower?  Even though some think it's taboo, I think it's ok to put your registry info on the shower invite.

  • Are they requesting it?? if so then ya email it to them.... Maybe they can't find yours. If NO - then don't email it, tacky.

  • There is no better way to scream "BUY ME SOMETHING!"

    Ditto!

  • LOL!

    BUY ME SOMETHING... NOW BIATCCHES!!!

  • That is exactly what we are planning to do when we register.  We're waiting until after the big ultrasound on December 15-- unless I cave before then.

Putting your registry on a baby blog, or facebook or wherever gives people the chance to find it even if they don't ask you, and it also allows people who might never have bought you something to browse all of the sweet tiny baby stuff and may induce them to spring for something.

This was my same thought...put it on the invites to the shower. (Then email the invite to your whole address book Stick out tongue) You want to make it available but not throw it into their faces.
