If all goes well, I'll work through my due date. Unless of course it's too much physically or my doctor recommends I start my leave.
My leave is covered under short term disability. I origianlly planned to take about 3 months, but am not 100% sure. I plan to talk to my doctor at our next visit to see what she will write me out for and make the call from there.
I plan on working until I pop, unless something arises. I am taking 8 weeks paid no work and then workign 2-4 weeks from home part-time before returning. So total 10-12 weeks.
I plan on working until I can't any more. I'd like to work up till the last day. We get a few weeks before and 8 weeks paid after (with an additional 4 weeks unpaid), but at the moment, it doesn't look like we will be able to afford me not getting a paycheck. I will start my leave when I go into labor and will come back after 8 weeks.
DH is in school till May. I'll be on leave till the end of June. If he gets out of school and gets a good paying job before I go back, I'll probably take the other 4 weeks off unpaid, too.
I plan on working as long as I can - but being a nurse might make that difficult towards the end. I'm already having sciatic nerve issues and a lot of back pain. We'll see.
I'm taking my 6 weeks paid, then plan to take another 12 weeks using FMLA. I'm not planning on returning to my current job since DH got transferred to a new city 6 months ago. After the baby comes, I will be moving where he works and finding a new job after my maternity leave...
I plan on working as long as possible.... ideally I'll finish working on Friday and have baby on Monday... but that's just in a perfect world. I plan on taking the full year and want all that time with Baby instead of just sitting on my ass waiting for the kid to come.
I'm going to stop working 4 weeks before and take 6 weeks paid after and then the additional 12 weeks unpaid. At my work, if you don't take the 4 weeks before, you lose it.
With DD, I went back to work when she was 4 months. It was perfect.
I plan on working until I'm in labor. I get 6 weeks paid, but I am planning to take between 12-16 weeks. I can take as much time off as I want, but it will be unpaid.
I plan on working as long as I can. We are allowed up to 16 weeks FMLA at my work..I will get three weeks paid time off, 3 more weeks STD 65% and then the next 10 weeks would be unpaid so it depends on our financial situation and if DH is working by then.
I'm going to work up until I go into labor, unless of course my doctor tells me I have to stop earlier. Then I get 6 weeks from STD (1st 2 no pay so using vaca and last 4 at 66%). After that my boss said I can probably work from home, which I'll try to do for another 6 to 8 weeks. Then hopefully it will work out so well that they'll let me work from home 2-3 days per week and only come into the office part-time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I am technically not entitled to anything. We are considered part time employees since we only work seven hours a day. I'm not sure. But I am taking about four weeks off.
I am super jealous of you ladies who get paid time off BEFOREHAND. (And even more jealous of the folks from other countries with a full year off paid.)
At any rate, I will be working until I can't, and then I get 6 weeks off paid (or 8 with a C-Section, which I pray I don't have to have). I can take up to 12 weeks off, but after the initial 6 it would be unpaid. I'm toying with taking 2 more weeks off unpaid or returning to work part time for 2-4 weeks. Any suggestions on which would be preferable from those who have been through this before?
I am due on a Monday, so my last day is a Friday. I plan on taking a combination of sick leave, PTO, & short term disability. I am taking 12 weeks off.
With DD I worked until my due date and ended up sitting around for 1.5 weeks until I was enduced. I won't do that again. I will work until I can't anymore or I deliver. Which ever happens first.

Now I have to tell HR : /

I am with you....wonder how fast this kid can type....
Too cute!! That would fit along with my mom saying my daughter should start washing the dishes at 2 years old!
If things go my way I plan on working till my water breaks. lol
After that I'm taking my year off (about 50 weeks in my province). I'm hoping to only return to work part-time after that, but we'll see what happens.
Hopefully up until I go into labor. With DD, I worked Thursday, went out to dinner with friends and had E that night. Perfect!
The only wrinkle would be if I wind up on bedrest, though, that's a different STD and doesn't count against my mat leave.
