DH and I have lived in a very big city so we know the very worst of it all. We now live in a very small town and the town next to us is more than 10 times less than what we are use to.
Now that we are having a baby five months along, DH does not want me to come with him because he is afraid I will get uncomfortable waiting in the car and in line, get knocked over by impatient shoppers, and trip on stuff.
I guess I am better off going with MIL, she said last year was not bad at all when she went with SIL. There was hardly anybody at Walmart and they were done by 9 or 10. She plans on going with one of our Aunts this year.
I'm a little bummed but I know DH could be right.
Re: Anybody going shopping on Black Friday?
I wasnt going to go because I know how ruthless our Walmart can be - and normally I am okay with that - because I can give as well as I get - but being 8 months pregnant - I tend to think that isnt the best idea.
I was set to sleep in until I saw that Home Depot has the garage opener that I want for only $99 (oppose to the $250 orginal cost) and they have a pre lit 7.5 foot Christmas Tree on sale for $49.
I told DH - grab your hat and coat at 5 in the morning - because we are hitting up HD. I told him if he acts as full back and does some blocking I can get through.
LMAO
I am going and I can't wait. It's like a girls day out for my grandma, aunts, mom, sister, etc... We get up at 8 and shop until about 11, but the best part is the 2 hour lunch. We all have some wine (not me this year), and the food is always great. If I get tired, I'll just go home after we eat and not shop in the afternoon.
