Poll: Are you going to have a second child soon?

We have been talking about having another baby soon.  Most of me wants to have one more baby.  I'm 37, so if I'm going to have another baby, it should be relatively soon.  I have a couple doubts, which probably are selfish, but my DH is pretty helpful with DS, but sometimes I feel like he could do more.  He definately makes sure that he is time for himself.  I agree that everyone needs time to themselves, but over the summer, he was golfing twice a week.  I just don't know that he will reduce the extracurricular activities when the second child comes.  I just wonder how I will work full-time and take of two kids?  Anyone else, scared about having another baby?

I think we will probably be ready to have another baby maybe this summer.  I think about the "how will I" and "what ifs" which I think is natural...but the way I see it...so many people have like 2 under 2 and manage...I think you just find what works for you...I think some things will be harder, but some things may be easier too because you have all ready done it once!  GL with whatever you decide...oh and btw...our dc's had the same monkey costume for Halloween!

probably not really soon.  DH hasnt been overly helpful either, although as DD has gotten older he has gotten better and more involved.  but we have had a lot of marital problems recently, and our finances leave a lot to be desired.  so for now, we will just love on DD! but i think id love another.  i loved being pregnant, and love having a little person!  plus, DD is pretty much DH in girl form.  she is NOTHING like me in looks or personality, id be curious to see what the second one would be like!

This would be a 3rd child for me and a 2nd for DH.  Ummm we are done though he would have another in a heart beat.  Considering we have a 10 year difference between my sons and we did IVF to have our son i cant imagine going thru all that again. He wants to see what happens naturally.  NOPE.

I am also worried about all the extra stress another child will bring, not to mention housework.  I also don't think we could afford two kids in daycare right now.  Plus, I've always wanted my kids a little farther apart.  We'll probably start trying in about 2 years.

nope- DH is trying to go back to school. If he gets in we will wait until he is finished ~3 years.

Not anytime soon. Perhaps once DS is out of diapers. Also, our house is small and there'd be no room to put another baby! Things with DS are just starting to get easier, I have no desire to go right back to sleepless nights and nonstop nursing sessions!!

We are going to TTC DC2 starting in March, after we take a belated honeymoon. We are still discussing if there will be a DC3. I would like to be done TTC by 35 and I am 31 now, so if there is a DC3 it would be pretty soon after DC2. We'll see.

I was actually on the fence if I even wanted anymore.  We had said 2 years and then I said 3 years.  Well now this week I have had the baby itch and wouldn't mind having another right now.  It won't happen because of money reasons, but at least now I know I do want more.

we will TTC once AF comes back... hopefully soon... it will put the kids a minimum of 2 yrs apart (unles DC #2 comes early...)

If you're concerned, you should say something to your DH.  Perhaps he doesn't think that what he's doing is an issue. 

We will most likely try for #2 next fall.  Sometimes I start to wonder if I could really handle 2.  Sometimes I wonder if we could financially do it.  Time will let us make that decision.

If you consider next June soon, then yes.  We plan on ttc around then, unless we are blessed by another surprise sooner than planned.

I hope to in 2011.  DH is scared to death of being able to care for and afford 2 kids...but we'll make it work.  I'm trying to come up with a homemade baby food business, so I can stay home and bring in some cash.  Maybe move to a smaller house??? I don't know, I think it's definitely worth it to make some sacrifices to give my ds a little brother or sister.

We're going to try soon... I'm 36 so I understand the time thing.  If I was younger, I'd probably choose to wait and have 3 years between children.  But we know we want another for certain and neither DH or I are getting any younger so we may as well dive in.  I know it will be tough but... is it ever easy?

If finances weren't an issue I'd want to get pregnant again very soon.

We waited 10 years for the first, so we aren't preventing anything right now! :-)  I am still EBF'ing, though, and have never had AF, so it may take awhile for anything to happen!

We are planning on TTC #2 next summer after DS turns 1.  I know I'm not ready now and probably won't be then either but we are not getting any younger.  DS has been very hard for us...colicky in beginning due to milk allergy & now still dealing with reflux & sleep issues.  I don't think we will ever be truely 100% ready so we figure we should just go for it and not look back.

I am 27 and want to be done having children by 30.  We're going to start trying again in the early Fall 2009.

I am scared of having another baby only because my 1st pregnancy and delivery were SO easy and ideal.  I'm worried that #2 will be the opposite.

We're going to wait about another year and a half... I'd ideally like to only have one child in diapers at a time Plus, we're just not there yet, DH still has some growing to do in the same regard as yours (spending a FINE time being sure he takes care of himself in addition to us, or should I say DD, but at times I feel I'm getting the short end of the stick in 'free' time whereas he gets loads). And we'll probably need a slightly bigger place. Our goal is to move out of our townhouse and into a house-house within 2 years, so we'll see... maybe it'll all fall into place.

We will be trying for the #3 starting in January. I still have days where Im not sure, but I just an't imagine not having another one. Its hard with 2 sometimes, but my DH does just as much as I do. If he didn't, Im not so sure a 3rd  would be in the future.
