First of all, congratulations on working so hard to get in shape! It sounds like you're really working your ass off, literally.
I wanted to ask you- are you tracking what you're eating to make sure you're not eating too much but that you're also eating enough? You're doing some pretty strenuous workouts. You want to be sure that you're fueling your body properly (i.e. getting enough calories) to do workouts like that.
Are you doing WW or sparkpeople or something like that? I found both really helpful (and sparkpeople is totally free!).
Seriously, you're doing a great job. Don't let the scale get you down. Who cares what that number is if your clothes are fitting better and you're looking thinner?
Congrats again!
Re: Jodi
Oh, ha! I'm just seeing this post --- I just responded in happ's page to me above.
I'm (half heartedly) doing WW. I do track, sometimes. But not all the time.
I know that that is my issue. And actually, I don't think I'm eating ENOUGH. Sounds so freaking counter-intuitive but I really need to start keeping track so I can make sure.
Actually, now that I think about it, I think I am eating plenty one day and not enough the next day. So my body is probably thinking "What the hell are you doing to me? 5 beers and dip one night. A yogurt and an applesauce the next day!" It's starve, binge, starve, binge! I can't blame it for holding on to what it's got!
And THANK YOU!
It does feel SOOOO good.
Last night when I was exercising, my pants were LITERALLY falling off of me. Even Joe mentioned it and said "Dude, (we use that word a lot in my house -- hee, hee!) if you didn't have a belly, those pants would be off of you right now. They were seriously at the lowest point without my butt crack showing. AAHHHHHHHHHHHH! TMI but man, I'm LOVIN' IT!!
