2nd Trimester

2 1/2 more hours...

until I am out of the office and on the road to DH grandparent's house in Rockport, TX which is about a 7hr. drive (at least it was before I was pregnant and have to pee every 30 min)!

I am so excited!!!  Visiting their house is sooo relaxing!  They don't care if we sleep in and they have the MOST comfortable bed.  His grandmother is an amazing cook, is in the kitchen 24 hrs. a day and always has amazing spreads set out.  Usually I have to control myself with the abundance of food but this year I am going to indulge!

They have a pool and it is suppose to be around 80 degrees so I might just go layout and get some sun...I currently look like casper!  We always sit around at night and play poker, scrabble or spoons and it always turns into a majorly competitive game...it is just so much fun and they are such great people!

The only down side is that the MIL will be there as well, but hopefully she will go MIA as she does during most family events.

Anyone else really excited about their Thanksgiving plans?

  • I am excited to go home. It is about a 3 hour drive. We are going to my parents. Their bed is not comfy but it is nice to see them. I only see them once a month usually. And being pregnant they are having a blast with it!

  •  We will be splitting our time with his family and my family luckily they are only about 30 minutes away from each other. I am looking forward to relaxing tomorrow morning. Watching the parade, making pumpkin pie and peanut butter cookies.
  • Sounds like so much fun.  I am excited about only having one Thanksgiving dinner this year, we don't have to see two families since the in-laws are going to an anniversary party tomorrow.  I especially like that I don't have to wake up to an alarm for 4 days!

  • We are having both our families over tomorrow for Thanksgiving! Luckily I have someone helping with the cooking, but I think it should be a fun time! :)

Thanks for reminding me...I almost forgot about the parades!  I love the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade!  Someday I want to actually go and see it in person.
