2nd Trimester

First felt baby?

Hey ladies! Congrats to you all! I have a burning question!  I know I'm not officially in the 2nd tri, but I wanted to know when you think you felt your baby? How far along were you? What did it feel like?

Looking forward to chatting with you soon! Happy Thanksgiving!

My fiancee felt movment at about 18weeks.

  • ok well, i already did :)

what's the reason for not? just about everyone i've come across likes to talk about their firsts! just thought i'd spark some conversation

  • I think I first felt him around 15 wks. It kind of felt like an upset stomach (like when you ride a roller coaster). Then I didn't feel anything again until 19 wks. Then it was a definite "popping" sensation. ?After I started feeling that with regularity, I started doubting that the 15 wk feeling was really baby. ?Who knows?

  • I'm bored. 17w exactly- popcorn pops. Nothing much beyond that yet.
  • 9-10 wks.  But this is my second baby and I knew exactly what it felt like.  I felt it around 12 wks. with DS.

  • I felt flutters at 15 weeks and kicks at 19.
  • Aww...you are too nice to flame  :)  I first felt flutters at 17 weeks (like butterflies).  And felt first actually kicks at 20 weeks (feels like muscle twitches).  DH felt around 20.5 weeks.  Hang in there...it will come soon :)

It's so different for everyone.  Some 2nd+ timers have felt it in early 2nd tri at maybe 14 weeks.  Some don't feel it until 24+ weeks.  It really varies and asking this question doesn't really give YOU any timeline for when to expect it.

  • Not trying to flame, just trying to warn - there were some posts earlier today about not asking this question as it gets asked a lot and if you scroll back a page or two you'll probably see it :) Nothing wrong with getting conversation started though!

Nonsense!  Just ignore the biitches on here and you'll be fine.  Feel free to ask whatever.  Not everyone is this stupid and plays along with the dorkfest of made up "rules".

WOW!  this is amazing to me.  i didn't even know that was possible.  how cool!! :)

Made up rules are a bit stupid, just giving her a warning...this question is asked a lot on here.

  • I had trouble feeling anything this time around because of surgery that I had @ 14 weeks. But DH could feel movement @ 17 weeks and I am finally starting to feel it now.  But as others have said, it's different for everyone.  Even different from one pregnancy to the next. With my last, I didn't fell movement until about 20 weeks.

First of all, you're still in 1st tri, technically. Second, the reason is by the time you get about...oh, 18 weeks along or maybe sooner..you will have seen this exact. same. question. about 20 million times. And if you scrolled back, you would have seen about 4 or 5 just from today. So it is extremely annoying to see it asked that many times.

GOD! NOT YOU AGAIN! I ALMOST forgot you were around here....good christ.

  • I"m having a hard time with the 9 weeks and feeling the baby.  It's the size of an olive.  I could barely feel an olive if you threw one right at me.

I think it is funny that Mrs. Jazzsinger posted about posting early on 2nd tri, yet technically she is still 3 days away from 2nd tri. Lame.

I felt movement with my DD at about 20 weeks. Flutters before that around 18 weeks.

  • Actually, it was kind of a joke and I go by when my doctor considers 2nd tri to start (which is tomorrow, so sorry for being a day early) and not strangers on an internet board.
  • And your daughter is adorable, btw.

If you are so tired of seeing the same ?s all the time. Then just maybe you are spending a little too much time on the boards.

    Just sayin.... ;)

Lol. Okay. Feel free to scroll back and see what I mean.

I miss being on the same board as you. I hope I didn't wake my daughter laughing.

Um, re-read he r post. She basically said if you post early, follow the rules.  Was it too jumbled for you? Not that hard to get.
