2nd Trimester

I haven't pooped in days! Help!

Is there anything I can do to make myself go NOW?!?! I'm having terrible cramps. It's too late to call the doctor's office. I don't have any fiber supplements in my house, so anything I need I'll have to go to the store. WAH!!!

What will work? I need a cleaning out!!!!

  • Popcorn always helps me.  Might not be immediate, but it always helps.  So does McDonald's.  I know...weird, but something about it makes me go!

  • my doctor said that if I needed I could colace tablets.  It may take a few hours to take effect.
  • Fleets glycerin suppositories are a wonderful thing, pop it in, wait a few minutes, sweet, unmedicated pooping time.

Colace and food can take hours/days to work. If you are on Zofran there is no hope other than an enema which is not suggested during pregnancy and suppositories which save me when I have roids!

  • coffee helps me... is there someone on call you can talk to at your drs?

  • Fiber one bars... those things should actually be kept behind glass, with a warning to only break in an emergency.

Ditto.  Reg or Decaf gets me, um, going.

  • Eat some white castle burgers & they'll make you go. Over here in new york we call them "Murder Burgers".
  • Prunes and fiber have worked for me
  • OJ or coffee are usually a good trick for me.
  • my new favorite poop aid:

my fav. are the oats and chocolate.?

  • i just went to DR. today and i am constantly having the same problem she said to take peri-colace at night and if i really need it miralx is safe and it works great!
  • coffee or frosted mini wheats
  • I've always been a fan of either All Bran or Fiber One cereal, I've eaten it every morning for about 8 years now and am always regular.  I haven't had any pregnancy constipation yet and I'm pretty sure it is from the daily dose of mega fiber I am getting.
