wow- there are some VERY misinformed women on this board!

A) the external genitals ARE formed at 12 for most babies... if not- they are probably not quite 12w when they think they are.

b) Yes- many US techs CAN tell the gender at 12w.  Mine was able to make a 90% guess at 12w2d.  And she was right. A good friend of mine got a COMPLETE twig and berries shot at 12w... it was correct = boy.

those who seem to think it's impossible either are clueless or jealous that they didn't get to find out that early.

I never quite understand the need to snark on women who ask about it or have found out at their NTS... I did- and sure as hell would laugh at you all for thinking I was crazy.  Does that make the state of the art docs in my area crazy???

 

U/S machines are getting better and better, people. I also know several people who had accurate predictions at their 12 week NT scan. I really laugh out loud at some of you woman on here. It must be so nice to know it all As for the excuses that she deserved to be flamed for her responses--eh? There's always someone on the nest willing to justify rudeness and the pack-mentality.

Thank you so much for posting this. I actually deleted my initial posting about my 12 week sex discovery, but so many woman were getting cheap thrills being rude to me. I figured I'd take their ammo away... thanks again.  I knew i wasn't wrong and felt confident with my providers, but these girls were taking all the fun away from my experience, so i ran!

We asked for our Dr. to take a guess at the NT scan but the baby wouldn't cooperate. She never said, not once, that it wasn't possible to tell at that point.
