Yes, What is the difference between Indian & Chinese diapers? ?Also, would I use one of those and then put on a cover over it or just one of those by itself? ?Do you use a flushable liner or a sprayer to get diaper clean after a poop? ?I've heard breastfeed only babies don't even need the diapers prewashed after a poop. Is that true?

We use pockets, because they're most like disposables. Since DH wasn't completely on board when we started, I wanted to go with something that was easy for him to use too. We have a large stash (about 18) of bumGenius 3.0s and I'm waiting on some BumWears. Both are one-sized, so we could use them for multiple children. Check out www.diaperswappers.com, it's a forum for CD'ers with a LOT of great info and other moms who CD.?
We also have a stash of fitteds, which are sized diapers that AREN'T waterproof. You need a cover for these (as well as prefolds or flats). I like them but since you have to have a cover they're a bit more of a PITA. I mostly use them on laundry day or when we're around the house, or during the summer.
For a newborn, though, we're going to go with prefolds and some newborn/small fitteds. One sized diapers don't generally fit a newborn well.
Indian and Chinese are a type of cotton I believe, and yes, they need to have a cover and pins or a snappi. I don't use a flushable liner or a sprayer for poopy diapers, because DD's poop is mostly solid. If I can't just shake it into the toilet, I leave it outside to dry out a bit or I swish it in the toilet bowl. If it's REALLY bad, I'll soak it in the utility sink in our laundry room. And yes, BF'd babies' poop is water?soluble?so you can just throw it in the wash with the rest of the dipes.
