So far you have said your fiance is not excited about the baby, has not been interested in learning anything about having the baby and is now simply saying that she doesn't want a shower, that she doesn't like big events like that.

I'm not saying everyone lives to have parties thrown for them, but it seems to point to a larger issue. To me, from everything you've said, it doesn't sound like she's happy to be pregnant.

thank you! exactly why I was wondering why he wanted to surprise her w/ a 3d or 4d ultrasound... I don't think that's a very good surprise.

She's happy to be preg but she's never been the type to jump for joy over. I mean I'm over excited because I always wanted a child, so even at work I read baby books on break. She's happy just not as happy as I am. I guess I'm just being weird.

Does it really matter to you how his fiancee feels? Leave the poor guy alone, even if he is the only one excited, it's better to have 1 excited parent (even if it's the dad) than none. Think of all the single/unmarried women on here, do you give them crap because the father doesn't get excited?

Firemans- I think they are just asking because he just asked us what we thought about surprising her with a 3D u/s. It's not that they are bashing him that she isn't excited, they just don't see how great of a gift that would be if she isn't even excited about the baby. That is all.
