heathb21 made me think of this. I haven't really discussed this with my doctor yet. He said I'd be getting a lot more than normal b/c of the twins but I don't know how many. TIA
i didn't have as many as most did, i'll bet. well, officially anyway. i had one at 7w, 16w, 19w, 22w, 25w, 28w, 30w, 32w and 33w. unofficially, i had them at 8w, 9w, 10w, 12w, 13w, etc, etc from a friend who is an OB. thank god, because i don't know what i would have done if i'd really had to go from 7w to 16w without knowing that the babies were okay!
Til 18 weeks I was getting one every 4 weeks. From 18-birth I will get one every 4 weeks plus a few random ones when they cant find a HB. so what is that like 12 (Im at 10 so far and have another in 4 hrs and they tell me I will get one more)
i have had one at every OB appt (every 4 wks), NT scan, big u/s, and now I see the peri every 4 wks (2 visits so far) as well where I have one. I have an appt. tomorrow at the OB and then will go back in 3 weeks after that I go to every 2 weeks until 34 weeks. So to answer your questions LOTS!
well, as you saw with my post, I will get them with every visit. Which right now is every 3 wks, around 20 wks it will be every other week. So far, I've had 3 (6w, 7w, 9w) and I'll have one next week. My OB is out during my 12th wk, so I opted to have my appt at 11 wks instead. I personally love all the u/s so I can see my babies and see the heartbeats.
I can't really tell you since I have not had my babies yet, but they have me going every 2 weeks and I am sure that will increase to once a week once it gets closer to 36w.
I went at 4w to confirm, then 6w, 7-8w, 9w, 12w (three times in the tweleth week bc i was in the hospital for a longer stay). Then it was 14w, 17w, 20w, and about every two or three weeks until 28w, then it was every 2w, at 33w i went weekly. So yea, some times you get a bajillion. I wouldn't have gotten as many in the beginning had I not been hospitalized three times (w6,8,12).
We found out at 15 weeks that I am carrying twins, since then I have been seeing my dr every other week and she does u/s at just about every appt. My girls move around a lot and this way we can be sure we are listening to two seperate heart rates and not the same one.
I lost count, but it was somewhere between 30-50. I had one at 5w, 9w, 13w, 14w, 15w, 22w, 24w, then they went to weekly for 25w, 26w, then they went to almost daily until I delivered at 30w.
One at 6w, one at 8w, one at 12w, then maybe every 2-4 weeks until 23w when my cervix shortened suddenly. ?After that, I was in the hospital & got an ultrasound at least once or twice a week (they had to monitor the amniotic fluid levels weekly since I was put on ibuprofen & often had to use an ultrasound to find the babies' hearts for my daily NST) until I delivered at 35w6d. ?So mine were probably ultrasounded 50 times...most were really quick though. ? ?
I did IVF, and my reproductive endrocrinologist is having me come in every week. I get an ultrasound each time. At week 10, if everything goes well, he will release me to my regular OB. I hope I get a lot of ultrasounds with her because I love seeing how they're doing!
I had a TON of ultrasounds. I got one every time I saw my OB and the peri. That was once a month at first, then every two weeks. It was great to be able to see them so often!

I had one at every OB appt. Also after 18 weeks I had growth scan level 2 ultrasounds every 4 weeks with the MFM. At 28 weeks I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes so I started seeing the OB every 2 weeks at that point and they did an ultrasound at every appt. These u/s were not so much to look at the babies but to check their amniotic fluid levels because GD can cause an increase in fluid levels, too much fluid can be a bad thing, just the same as not enough fluid.

I get one every 2 wks at my high risk dr. I had them every week in up to 8 wks 4 days since my babies are from IVF. My first high risk appt was at 12 wks and they said I will get one done every 2 wks.
I had one with the RE at 6w, 7w, 8w, and 10w. Then with the high risk OB at 12w and 16w so far. We have one scheduled for 20w. They told me I'd be getting one every 4 weeks. I think when I get closer to delivery they might do them more often to monitor growth.
Hmm. Well, in the first tri I had one every two weeks with my RE, then once I graduated to the perinatologist I had one at 12 weeks, 16 weeks (with the amnio), 22 weeks, 26 weeks, 30 weeks, 33 weeks, and my last one will be at 36 weeks.
They tried one around 5 weeks to date the pregnancy then at 7 weeks we found out the due date and that it was twins. I saw the peri at 12 weeks. Then I will see them at 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, If they don't see too much TTTS then it will drop to every 3 weeks until 32week then every week,
