GOODBYE SWEET BABY...I WILL MISS YOU FOREVER.

If you're wondering then I encourage you to get some cranberry juice STAT. I can't remember which I had, but it's feeling the constant need to pee, and still feeling like you have to pee even after you just pee'd. Whenever I feel like something like it is coming on I mix cran with soda and drink away. GL!
Could be some burning, need to urinate frequently even if nothing comes out. When I get one and I go pee, my eyes tear up after the few drops come out because it's so uncomfortable.
Urgency to go, then not being able to go much, burning. You can get some stuff otc for it, but that only helps the symptoms, doesn't get rid of the infection. Also, it will turn your pee orange.
Yeah, it's just been generally uncomfy in the bladder area & today I'm having to pee a ton. I can't tell if there's blood bc obviously I'm bleeding down there anyways
I had 2 catheters, plus they infused 32 oz into my bladder in less than a minute, then drained it...so I'm kinda wondering if it's just irritation, or if maybe I'm getting an infection? I'm not running a fever so far...hmm.
I've had many UTIs, and they can be veeeeeeerrryy painful. I agree with those pp who said to get cranberry juice stat! But make sure it is not cranberry juice cocktail. Get the Northland brand or something. The cocktail barely has any cran in it. Drink as much of it as you can.
Honestly? It may be worth a follow up with the doc. Like Heather said, catheters can cause UTI's and you seem to still be in a lot of pain. I may have been unusual, but I was back at work two days after my d&e, and I don't think I ever had the pain you are describing. I was in pain for longer after this m/c because of the miso, but even then, the cramps and pain were a drop in the bucket after everything passed.
I'm just worried about you. And if you already have a uti, cranberry won't help much at this point, unfortunately.

I was diagnosed with a UTI at my first OBGYN appointment. I had no symptoms and never would had known if they didn't do a routine urine test. I took a bunch of pills over the course of a week and it went away.

They are bascially the same thing. My symptoms are totally different though. I have horrible abdominal pain - like a knife cutting through my insides and a lot of dizziness and nausea. It sucks because I don't get the warning signs of a UTI until it is full blown.
They also have homeopatheic (sp?) meds made by Azo to help with UTI symptoms. I have used the pills Azo made for yeast infections and it seemed to help with the YI symptoms. If the symptoms persist, go to immeadiate care or your doc and get a Rx. Thats the only thing that will cure the infection.
Eas, I'm kinda thinking it's worth a call to the doctor. I have a pretty high threshold of pain & am not a wimp, but so far nobody else has described pain like this after a D&E. I wasn't sure if it was because I was a little farther along, because of how things progressed, etc but this is just....uncomfy.
I'd call the Dr. for an antibiotic to be safe. I prefer the meds to the OTC stuff (AZO) because it doesn't dye my pee as badly. (Seriously, AZO = ridiculously neon pee).

I was actually further along with the d&e - baby stopped growing at 13 weeks - and seriously, it wasn't like that. I had a ton more pain with this m/c, which was clearly much earlier.
I want you to be ok.

Cranberry juice will help the symptoms and make you pee more with less pain. Antibiotics will take care of the infections. Eating yogart will help prevent a yeast infection from the antibiotics.

I felt the same way after I had the same thing done to me in the ER. I was really worried I was getting a UTI, it has gotten better today. GL no one told me about that part of it.

They are the same thing, I believe.

Did you have a catheter? They can cause UTIs.
It's painful to pee but you feel like you have to pee all the time. I ran a fever with my last UTI. I felt like I had a really bad flu.
I hope you are not getting sick on top of all you have gone through this week. I've been saying prayers. I am just so sad for your loss.

Ditto! very uncomfortable. You feel like you pee fire when you go to the bathroom and you only pee a little bit at a time.
I get them often - ditto to all PPs
They have some OTC stuff that works pretty well at drug stores - the brand is AZO I highly recommend it.
They suck and I'm sorry if that's what you have. Lots of water, lots of cranberry juice - no pop/soda/coke (that makes it worse).

UTI's are very common after being cathed

Remember when I was a newb and you gave me a hard time about my recommendation to take cranberry vitamins? They'd come in handy right now *wink wink*
I'm sorry you have a UTI they absolutely suck, I hope you feel better soon
