I need to get a ball point needle for my machine, they are generic and not machine specific right? Also, how does toddler size hooded bath towels sound for an easier project for next week?
Cuteness! I think I remember you posting this pic when you finished the project. I still love it. Thanks for reposting along with the site. DS would love this. :-)
Yes - the needles are all generic (at least in my experience - I suppose there could always be a black sheep machine that only uses it's own 'special' needles

Special needles are available for my machine, but they aren't required. The needles I use (the special ones) are Inspira brand. IMO, they bend less often, and are generally better quality. I've also had success using Schmetz.
If you are going to sew PUL, buy the smallest-diameter ball point needle you can find. Small needle = small hole = less chance for leaking/wicking.
Re: Sewing question
I made some frog towels for my first project! It was pretty easy!

Your welcome!
You could also other animals! I was thinking about doing a bunny or teddy bear one!
