I have to go back to work on Monday.  I have already been out for 3 months (b/c of the accident) and we really need my income back especially with Christmas coming up.  The good thing is that my boss and I worked it out so I am going to work part time for the month of December.  Starting January I will go back full time. 

The nice thing is that one of my good friends is going to watch him for us while I am part time.  She may also continue watching him when I go back full time.

Aww.....I'm so sorry! I will only get 6 weeks for maternity leave so I'm sure I will feel the same way as you! I'm hoping to work out something similar for part time...just as an adjustment!

I am sorry, but at least its only pt for now. Thats great that you have someone that can watch him. I am feeling super guilty about not getting paid for 2 months and feel like I should have just taken 6wks, but it wouldnt matter b/c we still havent been confirmed a spot w/ any of the daycares.

Yeah I know what you mean.  I feel guilty too - especially now that we need to buy Christmas presents.  We also didn't expect me to go on maternity leave as soon as we did (and also have a car payment)....but I am very lucky they are slow and can let me work part time for December. 

Yeah we had originally planned for Cory's mom to watch him, but after all this drama she is ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to watch him.  So the first month after he was born I didn't have a clue of what we were going to do with him.  It all kinda worked out last week for my friend to watch him and I really wouldn't want anybody else to watch him (well except my mom or sis-in-law).

Geez!  I can't believe its been 3 months already! Time really does fly! 

Well, although I'm sure you'll be sad, it's great that you are going PT until January and that you have someone close to you watching him!  What will your PT schedule be???
