"she doesn't like me." my grandma has said this to me and my aunt told me this last night - referring to Malia not paying enough attention to her or wanting to be held by her or getting hugged by her.
1. she sees you once a year. she does not know you.
2. she's a toddler with a bratty streak and a limited attention span. unless you have fruit snacks, you are invisible.
3. when i start getting hugs - you can. hugs are a rare commodity around here.

agreed...what am I supposed to do about it! I can't FORCE my children to hug anyone...and refuse to MAKE them kiss anyone...they hug and kiss if they want!
