I just realized that I didn't really play with Harry this morning (because I was dealing with some serious diaper emergencies). ?He self-entertained for hours. ?BUT I am sitting in my office (NOT writing my dissertation) feeling guilty about it.
Yes, he does now. He just started to a few months ago though. He loves to go upstairs to his playroom and play by himself...and talk to himself...and his imaginary dinosaurs and giants. Not sure where he comes up with some of this stuff.
Yes. She seems to prefer either playing with her brother or by herself as opposed to me. Maybe it's because I pull out the shapes, colors, letters, etc. I haven't been able to play with my kids today, and I probably won't till Thursday since I"m busting butt trying to get ready to go out of town, but I don't think a couple days will kill them. They'll have me and DH for four days with no work and mostly no housework, just helping my aunt with dishes and keeping things up at her house.

Yes. DD loves to play by herself. If she gets bored, she'll bring me a book to read or some toy to play with, but otherwise she is very content playing alone.
Re: Does your 2 y/o play alone?
Yes.
Miles likes to have some alone playtime
Emilia almost 2 ... does not.. she wants to be played with and 100% attention.
Yes, but he always has. He likes to play with me occasionally during the day, and he'll ask me to. But a lot of the day he happily does his own thing.
I got over the guilt awhile ago though because it's pretty nice.
Liam is 5!
