What do you use to get around with your babies?

I am pregnant with twins and likely they will be born before my daughter turns 2 so I will have 3 kids 2 and under. How do you cart 3 kids around? I know that my dd will be able to walk but there are sometimes when she will need to ride in a stroller. It seems like it might be impossible for me to go anywhere with them by myself. Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated.

  • The only thing I can think of other than a triple stroller is to sometimes put one of the babies in a Moby wrap or Bjorn carrier.  We do that sometimes when one of the girls gets a little antsy in her carseat.

  • My DD turned 2 five days after the twins arrived. I will say that in the beginning, I didn't want to go anywhere by myself. I was nursing, and trying to do that, entertain my two year old, and manage whatever else I was doing was more than I could handle alone.

We used a Double Snap 'n Go in the beginning and a single for my DD. By the time I was ready to switch them out of the infant seats, DD wanted to walk *most* of the time. So, I got a City Mini Double, which I loooove. It is lightweight, easy to fold, and I can push with one hand while I hold DD's hand. Very important for me!

We have a triple jogger that I found on ebay for walks around the neighborhood, but it is a beast. It wouldn't go through doors and it is WAY heavy. I know some people like the double sit and stand type strollers, but my issue is that when DD wants to walk and I have to chase her/hold her hand the push is not that good and I have lots of trouble.

If you get a lightweight double that works for newborns you can always wear one baby and let your toddler and the other baby ride, too.

    Good luck!
