They seem to know what to do w/ the cups but they don't swallow the water - it just rolls out their mouths and down their shirts - momma's sick of changing outfits ALL DAY LONG!
oh my gosh, yours are so young! i wouldn't worry too much yet about it. i just gave mine empty cups to play with at that point. actually, not even at that point. i really started giving them milk in their sippies a few weeks ago, and they've picked it up pretty well. i think by now they just figured it out, i don't think they would have at 6-7 months.
pea-kay, thanks. I kind of thought they were too young but Pedi suggested starting water in the sippie cups. I think I'll put them away for awhile, they're having a hard enough time eating solids instead of screaming for their bottles.
I haven't even thought about trying to get them on sippie cups yet. However, I do let them drink out of my cups of water. I just put the rim to their mouth and they gulp away, w/o hardly spilling any!
The bad thing is that when I'm holding a baby while drinking something, she tries "going for" the drink by opening her mouth and trying to drink from it. Abby tried to get a swig of coffee yesterday! At least it wasn't wine!
