2yr molars. They look so PAINFUL!

DS is getting his 2 year molars. I looked in his mouth the other day with a flashlight (yes, he lets me look in his mouth) and they just look so painful. He has been saying that his teeth hurt and that he needs medicine (I give him ambesol throughout the day and Motrin at night). his bottoms are 3/4 of the way in and his tops are just starting. Poor Baby!

  • OMG, I totally know what you mean. DS says his teeth hurt too. Poor boy sticks his finger back there and sayd, "owww." It breaks my heart! Smile

  • I saw a pedi once who told me "teething doesn't hurt". I was so outraged that I not only changed pedis I rang my mum IMMEDIATELY (it was midnight in her time zone, poor Mum).

Anyway Mum's a dentist. Her response was "try telling that to a kid getting their 6 year old molars who is old enough to tell you it hurts. Better yet try telling someone getting their wisdom teeth through and you might get a punch."

DS got his 2 year old molars starting on a 24 hour flight to Australia. Luckily my Mum met us and within minutes she had Rx grade teething gel on them (which allowed him to get over his jetlag, after that it was the OTC stuff).

Now when he's sore (they're still coming through a bit) he won't let me look he'll call for Granny! "I wanna call Granny, Granny fix it!".

    Poor babies.?
