BRU return policy sucks!

MIL bought Maile some rather dreadful clothes. When I went to return them, they informed me that I could not exchange them without a gift receipt unless it was on a registry. It sucked for me, but it really sucked for the girl behind me who received the wrong carseat base as a gift.

Go in with a gun, add them to a registrty, then come home and mark them purchased on your registry. Then you can return them.

Eeeek!  I hate BRU so much (for many reasons)!  Are the clothes a brand target sells?  They might let you do an even exchange if so (they're not great w/o a receipt, but sometimes they'll allow an even exchange).
