Just went to the bathroom and when I wiped, BRIGHT red blood on the tp and blood in the toilet. I'm trying not to freak the f out. No cramping.
Please tell me this could be nothing. That some of you have bled and everything was fine. I have read that sometimes bleeding happens, but I'd feel a whole lot better hearing that it's happened to real people and everything has been ok.
I'm lying down with my feet up pretty much just praying right now. I have not had any red bleeding at all up to now.
Re: red bleeding (tmi)
Oh no!! I know I have heard of several women on this board who have experienced this and it turned out to be completely fine....there could be some other type of "bleed" in the uterus I think that can be harmless, but I can imagine how worried you are right now. Rest, rest, rest and I hope it goes away and you can get some excellent reassurance soon!
Are you still bleeding or was it a quick spotting?
Good luck!
Hugs!

Take a deep breath. It is probably the scariest thing that could happen at this point in pregnancy.
At 6w2d, I had bright red bleeding (like gushing, I thought I wet my pants) and clots. Freaked out like mad. I had just been to the RE that morning and saw both my babies' heartbeats. I went right back for another ultrasound and they were both still ticking away. Also rooming in with them was a subchorionic hematoma--a little uterus boo-boo. The dr said that there was nothing to be done about it (although some girls do wind up on bedrest with SCH), to take it easy and to call back if i soaked two pads in an hour.
I have had mostly brown spotting since then (over three weeks!) with some occasional red blood....I did wind up losing one of the twins but the doctors say that it is probably not related. I saw the baby again at 9 weeks and he/she was fine--hard to believe with all that blood but it's true.
Definitely call your doctor, hopefully you can be seen tomorrow....and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
It happened to me this pregnancy at about 9 weeks. A fair amount of red blood that eventually went brown and when I had the u/s to check, there was no apparent reason they could see. I was convinced I was having another m/c, but it all turned out fine. No cramping is also a good sign, I think.
Can you call someone on-call to mention it's happening and see if they will see you just to make sure everything's ok?
Which doctor should I call? I was released from the RE on Tuesday. I haven't been to my OB yet; my appt is 12/2.
Thank you for your responses. I'm trying to stay calm.
I had to post this exact question 6 weeks ago and lots of posters told me they had red bleeding and everything turned out ok. Mine was bright red and occurred right after an endometrin insert. It turned brown the next day and went away. The inserts make everything more sensitvie to bleeding down there.

I bled from week 5 on. It ranged from mild brown spotting to lots of red blood. Like you - I had the aweful sight of seeing a toilet bowl full of red blood. SCARY I know. I had had so many u/s and bw and everything always ended up ok. I just kept getting these bleeds in my uterus and no one really knows why. I ended up having to go on bed rest for 3 times due to this and I am on strict lifting restrictions. BUT the important thing is that baby is ok and growing as they should. My Dr. told me some people are just bleeders - and though its not necessarly "normal" , it can be common. I would definately REST. Lay in bed the rest of the night and call your Dr first thing in the morning if not paging them now.
Bleeding can be scary but it does NOT always mean m/c.
GL and keep us updated!
Keep resting and stay as calm as you can - we are all pulling for you!

That has happened to me twice now. Once at 5 weeks and then again a few days ago at 8 weeks. I bled a lot and I was sure we had lost one or both the babies. But our ultrasound on friday showed two healthy babies with great heart rates, measuring right on track. They also so no noticeable reason for the bleeding. So for now everything is okay.
?Hope everything works out for you I know how scary it is.?
I had some red bleeding this pregnancy at 5 weeks - and I had it on and off for 2 weeks. So far everything seems to be okay.
I agree with other posters - rest, keep your feet up, and call your RE first thing in the morning. He or she knows your history best right now.
Thank you so much everyone. I just checked again and while there is a little blood on the pad, there was barely any on the TP and none in the toilet this time. I'm staying put and drinking water. If it doesn't get worse, I'll call the RE first thing in the morning just to be safe. If it does, I'll call the on-call line.
I had pink spotting and went in immediately at 11w4d. Later when I wiped it was dark red. They never figured out what it was. Your RE will do an u/s - that's what they are there for to make sure all is ok. I had to do 2 days of bedrest - no work - but then it never came back.
Definitely get seen tomorrow and until then drink a lot of water and lie down. If you do have placental low lying - sorry forget the official name - they may put you on bedrest a few days.
It happened to me a few times and turned out OK. I had major, red bleeding at around 3.5 weeks (thought it was my period), at 6w1d (thought I was miscarrying it was so heavy), and again at some point in week 7. I also had significant spotting up until the 12 week mark. Call your doc (RE?) and leave a message that you'd like to come in for an ultrasound. It made me feel a million times better to see the little tiny blobs on the screen.
Anyway, take some comfort in knowing that this happens to a lot of women. Good luck!
I'm so sorry! it's so scary! But yes it could be nothing is wrong. The no cramping is GOOD! I would call the dr first thing in the am or if you need to, go to the ER.
I had bright red bleeding on TP and in the toilet at about 8 weeks, 9 weeks, and around 12 or 13 weeks. The first time, it was a small subchorionic bleed. The next week, I had some more bleeding although the bleed appeared to be gone. At 12/13 weeks, the bleeding appeared to be caused by a cervical polyp.
I know it is really scary but many, many people have bright red bleeding and have successful pregnancies. Call your doctor for reassurance, or just to be checked out. Good luck.
