What kind of diapers do you use? You can wash prefolds in soap because they're not as prone to buildup issues as a lot of diapers. If that's what you primarily use then you could still do it. If you use pockets or aio's (or even fitteds) then you're probably really lucky that you haven't had an issue with repelling yet.
You can use Dr. B's for all kinds of stuff though. Did you get the unscented baby mild kind. It's great as a body wash for you or dc. My ds's skin hasn't been so soft with anything but that (the other kinds can be really drying to wash with imo). It's also great for washing hands - especially in a foaming pump. You can use a small amount to hand wash dishes. You can use it to make a liquid laundry detergent to wash your other clothes in. Dilute vinegar 1-1 with water and add a good squirt of dr.b's and you've got a great cleaner for surfaces and bathrooms. Sprinkle your tub with baking soda and a good squirt of Dr. B's and you've got soft scrub (or mix them together to form a frosting like paste and use wherever you need an abrasive cleaner). . . . I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any right now. I think their website has some good suggestions too.
