Thanks ladies. ?My family has always been a turkey stuffing family but I'm not going to do it anymore. ?My mother is going to have a shiit fit.

No clue.  DH takes care of all the holiday cooking.  BTW, this poll makes me want to have turkey NOW!!!

I put a whole onion, 3 stalks of celery, a bunch of thyme and rosemary stalks, (tied together) and a lemon (cut in quarters) in the cavity.

Partially.  DH's family has always stuffed *snicker* ---- and mine never did.  So I put a little less than half in there for him, and cook mine in it's own dish in the stove.

 But I guess the worry about cooking stuffing in poulty isn't true, as he's never gotten sick from it

yes.. there is nothing like stuffing out of the bird. I try to stuff loosely and check the inside temp so I don't poison anyone.

DH and I don't really eat much meat, we don't plan on turkey on thansgiving etiehr...so I guess I will go with no.

We have fake turkey, so there's nowhere to "stuff." Not that I would anyway, stuffing is the devil.?
