Mp3/ipod help

Ok, so I have an ipod.  I like it all right.

Anyway, now MH is commuting about 2 hours every day so I am thinking about getting him an mp3 player for Christmas but with some sort of car adapter thingy so he can use it in the car.

What would yall rec?  It does not have to be an Ipod.  Ideally, it would not be because he is anti anything from Apple/Mac.  don't ask.  :) '

I'd like recs for the mp3 player and whatever gadget it is that works in the car.  I know some cars have the mp3 hookup but his does not.  THANKS!

    In my old car I had the cassette player hook-up thing.  There's the iCar that you can get (I think that's the name of it), but I've not really heard good reviews on that one.

    Ooo, I think the car does not have a cassette player if I remember right. 

    I suck at this - he buys all things geeky.

    The cassette thing was super cheap.  It wasn't the best, but it served it's purpose.

    my brother has the Zune and likes it but I really don't know anything about it.

     I have an iPod and have the itrip fm transmitter which works really well.
