do your twins have different bedtimes?

The last 3 nights, Luke just hasn't been ready for bed.  We give them their last bottle and Max goes right down but Luke just hollars to play.   We bring him back down and he plays for 30 mins or so and then we bring him back up.  Should I just be making him stay in bed or could he actually have a slightly different time clock in his little body.  They still wake together around 6:30.

  • No way! ?Ds was/is the more mellow one, so we always just "forced" him to adapt to dd's schedule for feeding/sleeping. ?Poor guy. ?He always has needed more sleep than dd. ?So at night, he'd just conk out while she played or fussed in her crib until she settled down. ?Then in the a.m. & after naps, she always woke him up! ?Then only time I had them on different schedules was when dd was ready to transition from 3 naps to 2 & ds was not. ?It only lasted a couple of weeks before ds was ready too, but it was brutal! ?
  • no they have the same bedtime. One is feed first (usual Timmie) then put to bed and then I feed Wesley and put him to bed...Everyonce in a while one wants to play. (that was Wesley last night). We take him out the room so that he doesn't wake up his brother...During them the day they mostly take naps at different times except for there nap after their 4:00 pm bottle..They both take a nap right after it for 1-1 1/2 hours.

  • Ours have different bedtimes.  They get up around the same time in the morning too.  Olivia wants to go to bed at 7:00 but we stretch her until 8:00.  Abby doesn't go down until about 9:00.  They are also up at different times in the night, but that is ok with us because we each take a twin for the night.

They are two different little people.  So many of us talk about individuality but force them to conform to the others' schedule.  We would have two very unhappy little girls if we tried to get them to go down at the same time.

    No thanks!
