Pregnant after a Loss

**Maybride**

Hey! ?So what ended up happening with you and your employer in regards to your work schedule when you get back? ?How much maternity are you taking and when are you leaving?

I have to be induced so I'll probably have this baby somewhere between Feb. 10th - 14th so I'm taking off Feb. 1st and will return June 1st. ?I'm working 2 days a week from home and I still have to decided what days to come into the office but that's how everything ended up working out. ? My MIL is coming Feb. 7th so I'll need a few days before she gets here to get stuff together and relax! ?

Hope it all worked out for you too! ?

  • hey there. i'm so jealous of how much time you are taking off.  i can only afford to take 8 weeks off (unpaid).  i'm planning to work as long as possible (i have a really strong feeling that i am not going to go to 40 weeks, since i have been measuring ahead for a while now).  i will likely work more from home as the end gets closer though, because it will be the dead of winter and i have over an hour commute each way as it is without factoring snow.  after the baby comes, it looks like they will let me work part time (up to 30 hours) from home, but it's still a bit unclear as to exactly what part of my job i'll continue to do.

there was some discussion today about a propsal for september that would include some level of onsite daycare (we'll be moving our office space to a new location) as there will be 4 of us with young children/infants by that time and since our business is in creating families, we felt it would look good to promote that as a company, we care about families of our employees.  not sure it will pass, but it is in the works.
