to buy disposable diapers? We ran out of covers today so I had to go buy some and for some reason I felt embarrassed. It makes no sense but I couldn't shake the feeling, I wanted to tell everyone that I normally cloth diaper, lol.
I get embarrassed even walking down that isle. I'm afraid people will think I'm buying them.
Also, when DD was very small she drank expressed milk and once I went out and had to bring some with us. I was petrified that she would need to eat because I was afraid that people would think that she was drinking formula.
I don't look down on other people for using sposies btw (heck, I used them until DH finally gave in). Or formula for that matter. It's just that I expect it of me and so I feel like if I'm not doing what I'm suppose to be doing.
I feel more "confused". We were traveling last week and I had to buy sposies ... I swear, I stood in the diaper aisle for a good 15 minutes just staring at packages, wondering what in the heck I should buy! I felt stoo-pid.

and that is why i'm happy we have our own board... because only other EFF nesties understand this phenomenon. dunno why people go searching other boards for things when it doesn't pertain to them... *sigh*
i do feel guilty buying sposies, i stood in the isle for 10 minutes this past weekend trying to figure out what size to get DD... we use sposies at night, but it comes to 2 sposies a day... so a case lasts us a long long time. lol

I have done this with baby wearing too! When we're out and we're using the stroller, the thought "but how will people know I'm a good mom if she's not up with me?" has actually gone through my head. Glad I'm not the only crazy one!
I have thought about getting a newborn pack just incase most of the diapers dont fit or the covers are still to big, even the newborn ones we made. It does make me feel guilty though.
*hangs head, I still have to buy goodnights for ds. He has had issues for years and finally not on any meds for it but still has accidents. So we have a kck tween and the disp to use when its in the wash.

I don't know that I'm embarrassed per se, but it certainly hurts my wallet.
Uh oh, I hope I don't start anything here! Yeah, that $13 felt like a lot.
I could see that creating an uproar
lol
