DH texted me earlier that some friends of ours want to do something tonight.  My first thought was bleh.  We always have fun with them but it just sucks going out and then having to wake up at 6am when the kiddo wakes up.  I'd much rather hangout at home with DH and go to bed at a decent hour.  I guess they're going to come over to our house and still I can only think of how early I have to get up (last time they came over they didn't leave until almost 2am).

I totally suck at being a friend sometimes.

You sound like my DH.  I love to go out though.  Normally I stay home with him and the boys, but I go out for girls night around once a month to get my "fix".

I do the same thing.  We lived in an upstairs apartment in my IL's house for 2 years.  It was always great to have a "live in" babysitter, but I always had to get up the next morning with DS.  It caused me to not have as much fun the night before as I would if DS were staying with my parents, where we could sleep in.
