Would you buy??

Ok, there is a great deal on Craig's list for a ton of hardly played with little people. All together it is well over $200 of little people for $75. Is it horrible this is going to be one of my DS's christmas presents?

Re: Would you buy??

  • Why would it be horrible? Is your toddler going to know that they aren't in the store packages?

    Save yourself the money.

  • We have a never used, but still not brand new toy that Santa is bringing.
  • Why is that horrible?  I am sure your DS wouldn't even know the difference.  Save the money!

  • Thanks ladies, I felt horrible I think because I grew up in a very poor home and now that DH and I do well, I always feel guilty when I am frugal. I have to admit though it allows me to get him a pretty cool set!
  • I would totally buy them & save yourself the money.  My inlaws bought dd used toys from Once Upon a Child & she never knew the difference.

  • I don't think its horrible. But I bought one of my kids gifts on craigslist.  There was a lot of 55 thomas trains for 90.00.  If I didn't get them that they'd have only gotten a handful of trains and I'd have spent more!  So i'd say they would prefer the gently used larger amount of trains, then the new very small quantity!
  • Exactly March! I am able to get him 4 times the little people I would be able to get him. Thanks so much everyone for your comments. I feel a ton better!
  • Great idea.  We are taking all toys out of the packages before we wrap them anyway so they can be put together, etc.  If they fit in the box after that fine but if not we are just wrapping the toy.
