So I'll be unemployed for the month of Dec, but back working in Jan. DS started Daycare mid Oct. I can't take him out for the whole month (2 yr waiting list) plus I'm not sure I would want to anyway b/c he just got in a schedule. The daycare said they woudl work with me on some sort of part time schedule, and have asked if I want to do 5 days a week half days, a few days a week whole days or some combo of the two. WWYD?
Re: Part Time Daycare - What would work best?
I would do whole days... that way he's in the full day routine.
Also, it's easier for you to get stuff done if you have a full day to commit.
I get every other friday off and it's amazing how fast a day can fly by if you're running errands or working on a project at home.
we do MWF with my DD right now. It's great as she has T/TH at home with my DH and they get to play and she gets longer naps those days, but gets 3 days with her 'friends' at school.
It's worked really well for us.
Ditto.
I guess I'd pick the cheapest option. If the same I'd probably pick the 5 days half time. That way you have a designated time everyday you can do whatever you want and you don't always have to take him.
Whatever you decide - get in writing that DS can return full time when you need.
