When do I use diaper sprayer??

We just started rice cereal this week (only bf before) When do I need to start using the diaper sprayer? or will it become really obvious when I need to?

Yes- I think so anyway- there comes a time when the poop is like peanut butter, or even applesauce texture- where it's no longer just watery then it's time to spray.
