My first "dunking" experience

Had to dunk poop in the toilet this morning! Yuck... I was not ready for it. I didn't think she'd do it again today Sad

but the more I think about it, I realize that it isn't so bad.... I mean, if I had used a liner or been prepared with some sort of sprayer or anything to get it into the toilet, it wouldn't have been too much of a problem. It's the surprise factor what got me, lol.

How long do you think I need to do this for? DD is BF but we gave her prune juice the wednesday evening. I would have though I'd be in the clear today but that diaper this morning didn't look like something that should go in the washer/

Re: My first "dunking" experience

  • could you just have scraped with some tp, or did you have to dunk?  the only time i've dunked is when dd was sick and had diarrhea.  then i just held it in the water and flushed.

  • I don't know for sure in your situation, but we put all that poo in the washer. DH said he wasn't scraping so we gave it a try and so far haven't had any issues with it (and DD has been getting cereal and a few veggies).
  • Yeah, I wasn't thinking right! I didn't realize she had pooped until I opened the diaper (she has been stinking up the house with toots for days now, so I thought that's what the smell was, lol).

I actually ended up using some flushable wipes that half way through, I remembered I had! why didn't I think of TP????

I'm a planner... I don't deal well with surprises lol
