When did you preemie sit unassisted?

I don't think the boys are any where close..I am going to talk to pedi about it at their 9 month appt on Dec 9th...

Sometime around 8 months (6 month adjusted) . He started crawling and getting himself into the sitting postion on his own just yesterday. I didn't see how earlier your boys were, but I would not be too concerned and see what your pedi has to say. It is really hard to compare babies and developmental milestones.

Mine just started sitting unassisted about 4-5 weeks ago.  He still falls over occasionally, but he sits really well for the most part.  But that's all he's doing.  He doesn't crawl, he doesn't even push himself up when he's on his belly.  I'm starting to get a little worried about all of it, but the physical therapist doesn't seem worried..........

Anyways, I'm sure your boys will start sitting on their own soon, by the way I love the pics of them, they are too cute!

My guys didn't sit unassisted until they were just shy of 7 months adjusted.

Marit can sit up unassisted now, but not for very long. Maybe up to a minute. She is also getting better at tripoding so she can catch herself when she falls over. She just turned 6 months actual, 4 months adjusted. BTW she also LOVES standing up. I think she is very intent on getting new perspectives on everything, so she likes to change positions.

Campbell is still working on it.  She's 6 1/2 months adjusted and sometimes will sit for 30 seconds to a minute and rarely longer.  She gets PT and OT weekly and this is one of her goals.

Tyler was just barely shy of his 1st birthday - 8.5 months adjusted.

7 months actual, so about 4.5 adjusted (we really try not to use adjusted age anymore).

DD just started sitting unassisted last week. I thought she would NEVER sit, but within a matter of two days she went from needing a boppy behind her to sitting unassisted for over 30 min!

DS is still a little behind.  He can go for about 30 sec or so unassisted, but I'm hoping he'll catch on quickly.
