Do you have a portrait innovations by you? I really like them and recommend them all the time.
Price depends on package but be realistic when choosing a package. We now have 50 wallets of the girls' first pro. photos because we didnt think "hmmm what will we do with all of these?"
Mommy to twin girls, Ashlyn & Fiona, born at 34 weeks due to vasa previa.
We've always done Sears. For the cards though, I just took my own picture. if you pay $15 to join their club, you never pay a sitting fee, you get assloads of coupons...
We've gone to Picture People at Crossgates for pics and JcPenney. I like the prices at Penney's and I felt the quality was equally as good as the Picture People but you do have to wait like 2 weeks for your pics at Penneys where at Picture People they are printed out right away... at least that is how it was last year when I took them.
For Christmas cards I take my own pics and then either upload them to Walmart.com and have them printed except this year I'm going to photoshop a Christmas card and then have them printed at artscow.com b/c of the 50 free 5x7's that you get that you just have to pay shipping on.
Oh, good to know about Penny's. I don't want to wait 2 weeks!
I thought about doing my own for Christmas. Maybe I'll try a few this weekend and see how they come out. It's so hard to get them in the good mood at the same time!!
Last year's Christmas card I took them to the mall and had their pics taken with Santa and just had them wear their Christmas outfits. Morgan was in a dress with tights and black shoes and Nathan was in black cords with a red sweater and a plaid golfers like hat. It was ADORABLE. If you want to see a copy of the pic just email me at jmdavey2005@msn.com and I will send it to you. If I didn't like the way those came out last year I would have sent out another one I took of them in just a diaper with Santa hats on that came out cute... I will send you that one too. I'm in the midst of looking for cute, coordinating Christmas pajamas.

What should I have them wear?

I second Portrait Innovations. ?Sears was fine too, but the photo quality wasn't as good (probably varies by location though).
Snapfish.com does a great job if you want to do them yourself. ?You can just upload your own photo(s) & pick a card design, etc.?
