over CVS or amnio. i think i am planning to do serial sequential testing (NT, first tri bloodwork, and 2nd tri bloodwork) over CVS or amnio. if first tri comes back as positive i'll do cvs then...but i will most likely skip it otherwise. wondering if others did the same and what your reasoning was. thanks.
I did. Like you, if it comes back with poor results, I will opt for the amnio or other more invasive testing. I just don't want to opt for more invasive testing if the need isn't there to justify taking the higher m/c risk with those procedures.
Most people don't jump right into an amnio or CVS testing unless they have special concerns. Most people would do the NT testing and then an amnio or CVS if there is cause for alarm.
I did the CVS with my first pregnancy and ended up getting an infection and losing the baby. So needless today this time around we did the NT scan and bloodwork only.
