confusion

So 2 weeks ago I let my manager know that I could not come in until 11:30 on weds starting the 19th because my daughter started dance class and I worte her a note about it.  So this week was the 1st week and I reminded her last thurs what was going on and she said she would be here until I got here and then she would go over to another store that needed her and I said thanks and everything was good.  This morning I get a call at 11 and it's my manager (she's frantic)  and she lets me know NOBODY is at my store and where the hell am I?!?   WHAT, IS SHE CRAZY-- I told her about this 3 times, twice in person and once in writing.  She then proceeds to say she didnt know about it and thought it didn't start for a few weeks.  Is she crazy??

If you can prove it in writing then I assume you're covered. I hate when managers/who ever does scheduling forgets to give you time off when you already cleared it.
