Pediatricians in Hbg area

I will give birth at Hbg hospital in the spring and am looking for a pediatrician in the Hbg area-- I live on the West Shore but would drive within 30 minutes if needed.  Any recommendations?  I am looking especially for a doctor who is open-minded about things like vaccines.  Thanks!

We plan to use Heritage too but as far as I've been informed they aren't really flexible with vaccines ...  delayed schedule, etc.

We use Ryder Barnes in Mechanicsburg, off the Bowmansdale exit of 15. They're wonderful and Adam has had his share of sickness so we've been there a LOT in nine months. There are four docs and they will stay as late as necessary to see every sick child (they're in my neighborhood and it's not uncommon to drive by and still see lights and cars at 8:00).

Also, Adam has had two very serious illnesses and they wasted no time admitting him to the hospital for the first one and sending him for tests the second time.

We also use Heritage and are very happy with them.  I love the fact that I always get a real person when I call.

Not sure if you're still reading replies, but we use Tan and Garcia.  Our L&D nurse actually recommended them.  They have an office in Camp Hill and Harrisburg (Union Deposit).  We live on the West Shore too, but prefer the Harrisburg office.  Not sure how they are with vaccines as we are not doing an abbreviated schedule or anything, but we do like the practice so far (DD is just 2 months, so we haven't had many visits)!

We also use Heritage Pediatrics in Camp Hill and LOVE them!  My daughter just had a shot yesterday and they are very interactive and gentle with her.  They somehow managed to give her a shot and get clapping afterwards instead of tears!  Good luck in your search....

I'm not on this board often, so I'm not sure if you're still checking responses to your post or not, but I'm also on the West Shore (also delivered at Hbg Hospital and had a fantastic experience there!) and we use Jones, Daly & Coldren for our pediatrician. They have an office right off Wertzville Road and then another right by the Cedar Cliff Mall. We use the one off Wertzville Road. We have been really happy with them! I'm not sure how flexible they are with vaccines, but that's because we've been following the standard schedule.
