Pregnant after a Loss

30 week appt.

First of all, I cannot even believe I am at 30 weeks.  I never thought I would make it this far.  We went over my 28 week u/s and at that u/s Emma weighed 3 lb 11oz and was measuring in the 97th percentile.  Holy big baby! However, I am 5' 11" and dh is 6' 2" and my dad is 6' 4" so I think she is going to be long too, which the midwife confirmed when she measured my belly.  The only thing I am worried about is her hb is usually around 150 and today it was 130.  The midwife was not concerned and I know anywhere from 120-160 is normal, but still made me concerned.  Just reassure me it is normal! Thanks!

Re: 30 week appt.

  • Its totally normal.  It does slow down a bit as they get bigger, so just look at it as a sign that your girl is getting bigger and bigger!

  • Yeah, I think the h/r just varies... at one NST Leo was mostly in the 120s, which is the lowest he'd ever been. Then last week, his h/r went from 130-160 off and on during the 20 min NST period. Bizarre. But apparently normal....??!!

    Congrats on being 30 weeks!!

  • Accelerations and deccelerations are very normal. In fact, you want to see a pattern like that. At one of my appointments babies HR was high so they sent me to L&D. It turns out they just heard it during an acceleration period. Completely normal.
