Need laundry advice/poll
I am trying to do my laundry and it would probably being going much faster if I wasn't on the nest but I keep thinking there is an easier way. If you could answer a couple questions for me that would be great!
What do you do with dirty clothes until laundry day?

What do you do with dirty clothes until laundry day? Throw it downstairs into the laundry room.
How often do you do laundry? About every other day and esp when we have sunny days to hang the laundry out on the line.
When folding how do you sort them? Mine and DH's in a laundry basket and the girls in another laundry basket.

When folding how do you sort them? I fold and put each persons in their own piles. Then carry to their rooms.

Any other tips for organizing laundry? Each area (Ava's room, Ella's room, Our bedroom and bathroom all have a double basket with a sorter. I sort them as I put them in the laundry basket. It cuts down on having to do it when I put them into the washer.
We have a hamper in our master closet. We put DS's straight into the laundry room after his bath.
I do all the laundry on Sunday.
I seperate them into each person's pile. Then I put DH's on his side of the bed so he has to put his away and I'll put away DS's and mine.
I have 5 baskets.

What do you do with dirty clothes until laundry day? We have a 3 compartment hamper in the laundry room for lights, darks and whites. I love it! I keep small hampers in our room and one for the kids near their rooms and sort it out a couple times a week. Towels go in a pile near the hamper and I either wash them separately or throw them in with a load of like colors to fill it up.
How often do you do laundry? About 2-3 times a week.
When folding how do you sort them? I sort based on person, then item.
How many laundry baskets do you have? Two, one for the kids and one for DH and I.
We have 3 laundry baskets - lights, darks, and towels. We sort as we go. Laundry is done on the weekend, unless we are OOT on the weekend. Fold and put away at the same time.
I 'organize' the laundry, DH does it, I fold most of it (he folds his own stuff).
What do you do with dirty clothes until laundry day? They lay on the floor in the basement until they get thrown in the washer

When folding how do you sort them? I sort everyone's clothes by shirts, pants, & undergarments w/socks
How many laundry baskets do you have? I have 3 & one is always sitting in front of the dryer so that I have one in the basement
Any other tips for organizing laundry? I only put laundry in the washer if I know I will be able to put it in the dryer once the washer is done. I also put away the clothes I just folded before getting a new load from the dryer, most of the time this included putting dh clothes away b/c he's either not home or won't do it.

I just dump it all in a pile on my bed, pick up one at a time and put everybody's clothes in a seperate pile

When folding how do you sort them? By whose clothes they are and type of clothes (pants, shirts, etc)
How many laundry baskets do you have? We have hampers in each bedroom and one downstairs in the utility closet. When it comes time to do laundry, i put everything in one hamper and sort them downstairs.
Any other tips for organizing laundry?I don't know. I do ours and DS' separately. With ours, I do a few loads--darks, medium colors, whites, delicates (light and dark), towels and sheets. I'll do a load or two at night and fold when I have time (sitting watching tv after dinner)
What do you do with dirty clothes until laundry day? Most go down the laundry shoot and end up in a basket in the basement. The baby's are in a hamper in her room for now but once the Dreft is gone, they will join the rest of the families.
How often do you do laundry? once a week but we sometimes skip a week and then have way to much to do the next week
When folding how do you sort them? Each person has piles of shirts, pants, etc. Dh and I tend to fold together on our bed.
How many laundry baskets do you have? 2 - we put our clothes away right away after we fold them and the girls each get a basket and we put theirs away whenever they are awake.
We wash everone's clothes together other than the babies but as I said above, that will change soon when the Dreft is gone. I had bought a huge jar of it that has lasted 8 months already and I'm ready to be done with it. We do darks, lights/whites and then towels.
