preeclampsia??

Went to OB appt on friday and scheduled c-section for DEC 18 (baby A is breech and Baby B is transverse) BUT, ...

Surrogate's BP went up from 115/70 to 144/77 this week. They are doing a 24 urine test and bloods test to see if her protein is elevated also.

DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS AND WHAT ARE THEY??

My blood pressure is always higher than that....I take it everyday and my bottom number fluctuates between 81 and 87. I have had two 24 hr. urine collections and they came back ok. My dr. isn't notified unless my bottom number goes over 90. Hope all is well.

i delivered the boys because of pre-eclampsia, and my bp was always higher than that. but maybe they're concerned because it's a big jump for her, from her normal bp? they seemed to be worried more about the bottom number, and if it got to 90, i think, was when it was considered bad.

is she on bedrest?

I was diagnosed with Pre-e at 28 weeks and delivered at 30 weeks. But my BP was quite a bit higher than that - I think 180/90 or so.

They are concerned about the jump from her norm BP to the current one. I know that number is not high for some people but it is for her. 

She is not on bedrest but basically has herself on limited activity b/c she is so tired and uncomfortable. She is getting about 1 hr of sleep at a time b/c of her hands falling asleep.  They have her wearing carpel tunnel splints but it does not seem to be helping that much.

i can't remember. it wasn't super high - i never really developed full-blown pre-eclampsia (or if i did, it was really mild) but i was definitely getting some readings with the lower number being in the low 90s. my protein was also creeping up, but wasn't quite at dangerous levels yet.

mostly, my c/s was scheduled because i was developing an awful rash, and since the pre-e was developing anyway, my doctor agreed to do it the next day. (that was at 33w2d.)
