I read on the 3rd tri board that some of those girls were flaming some girls on the SAIF board about target and car seats, but I couldn't piece together what happened at Target. It seems to have left A LOT of people upset.
They advertised a Britax Marathon convertible carseat for $42.99 with free shipping. Everyone and their mom (including me) bought one. Some called ahead and confirmed the price with a Target rep. Then yesterday we all got emails saying that it was a mistake and they cancelled our orders. Most are reporting them to the BBB.

Target advertised the Britax Marathon carseat for $42.99 the other night. A ton of us jumped all over it, and then Target took back the deal and cancelled all our orders because it was a mistake.
According to them they can. I spoke with a rep last night and he said he would have his supervisor call me back (because everyone was calling in and basically flooding the customer service line). I still haven't received a call so I am going to call the corporate number to see what they can do. I just don't think it's right.
And I work for a retail company. We're highly regulated by weights and measures and they fine us if we advertise an incorrect price. We have to override it and give the customer the price that was advertised. But Target has some disclaimer hidden on their website about price differences that might cover them. Who reads those??
