Pregnant after a Loss

is this ok you think....

I started spotting and then had light bleeding last Tues in the evening and went to my Dr on Wed. The u/s confirmed I was carrying twins, 1 twin didnt make it which was the cause of the bleeding and the other baby had a heartbeat and everything on the u/s and my Dr told me that baby is ok and healthy. I called Fri since I was having some brown spotting that was really really light and he told me it could go on for about a week. Today I still have some really light brown spotting and I am so scared that I am gonna loose my one healthy baby. Its way light and you have to wipe for it...its not coming out (sorry if TMI) Do you know of anyone who has had this happen to them or has it happened to any of you. I am trying not to freak, I am just so scared that it will turn into a m/c and I will loose the other baby. I see my Dr tomorrow cause I will be 8wks but I am so scared. The Dr told me so far so good, I am just being parinoid about it? I just don't want to loose the other baby.

  • I haven't had this happen to me, but I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry about the loss of one of your babies. I'm sure that it is very scary. Can you call your ob and maybe go in today instead?

  • I am so sorry for your loss. While I haven't personally experienced this, one of my friends has. She is now 38 weeks pregnant with her baby girl after losing one twin very early on. Her bleeding was very heavy and did not subside for months, and everything turned out okay. Hang in there.
  • I'm sorry this is happening, spotting is scary.  Your doctor did say that it could go on for a week though, so I think it's probably from the twin that you lost.  That being said - if I were in your position, I would probably call the doctor just for the reassurance.

Good luck, I hope everything is ok.
