Hey - sorry to bug you with an rx question... is there any way amoxicillin (liquid) and/or the grape "flavoring" can cause sleeplessness in a toddler?! DS has had trouble going to sleep both at naptime and bedtime tonight, and the only thing that's changed is addition of the new rx (he's playing/chattering and sounds very cheerful, almost hyper - so I'm not thinking he's up b/c he's uncomfortable). Checked the side effects info and it's not listed as one...
He has paradoxical reactions to Benadryl, Dimetapp, etc. - was just wondering if I should add this formulation to the list, too... argh... Thanks
Re: Bubbly: amoxicillin question
The flavoring has sugar in it. It could be due to that.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Ah, lovely! So I have another nine days/nights of this to look forward to - haa haa!
Argh... oh well, at least he sounds happy.
Thanks!!!

Oh no - our poor boys and their antibiotics! Does Will have an ear infection:( Alex has a lovely sinus infection and he looks like a nasty snot monster (very attractive!) Hopefully he'll sleep well for you so you can enjoy your football and wine combo!
And now I know to give Alex his meds first thing tomorrow and a couple of hours before bed! Thanks again.
Yeah, he's got an ear/sinus infection. You would never have known it early this afternoon though.
I hate keflex. I think it smells like feet. LOL

LOL - it DOES smell like feet! I had to take it multiple times for stupid breast infections and I hated opening the bottle - liquid smells just as gross, huh (or did you have to compound it?)
I'll stick with my juiced up amox, tyvm! Oy, he's still awake... clearly he's sensitive to something in the liquid - what a PITA!
Hope Will's feeling better soon (he sounds like Alex, though - you'd never know he was sick!)
