Collinsonia Root?

I was told by my Chiropractor that taking collinsonia root for hemorrhoids would be fine while breastfeeding. Has anyone else heard otherwise? Also, anyone had any luck with stool softeners? This totally sucks! I want them to GO AWAY! Breastfeeding is sucking every last drop of fluid from my body I think. I am drinking a ton of water and eating healthy and nothing seems to be working. I hate prunes, but I think it is going to come to that soon.
