Stuff like that just doesn't bother me. I don't pay much attention if any at all to traditional name meanings. Madison started rising in popularity after the 80's movie Splash (love it) came out. I really like the name, myself.
Nope, it's not over yet. I went to a shower this weekend for a girl who's naming her daughter Madison. It's REALLLLLY trendy where I live because we live in the city of Madison.

Splash used it b/c of Madison Ave, which was named after the president's (male) surname.
I just think it is sad that parents don't think about that stuff. Especially when there are so many beautiful names.?
