I can't get over that whole Madison trend. Please tell me that is over by the way.

Because Madison means SON OF MAUD!

So here are thousands and thousands of people calling their little girls son of maud every day.

Stuff like that just doesn't bother me. I don't pay much attention if any at all to traditional name meanings. Madison started rising in popularity after the 80's movie Splash (love it) came out. I really like the name, myself.

I dont know any boys named Madison.  I do think it is a cute name but would never use a name that is that popular.

Splash used it b/c of Madison Ave, which was named after the president's (male) surname.

I just think it is sad that parents don't think about that stuff. Especially when there are so many beautiful names.?

Nope, it's not over yet.  I went to a shower this weekend for a girl who's naming her daughter Madison.  It's REALLLLLY trendy where I live because we live in the city of Madison.
